i can say many things about my experience in malate. the only thing is the people of malate speak for themselves. i have never had the pleasure before to be in the same room as people as selfless as those women who i hope to see again in the kaibigan foundation. the fact is that they make me question myself and wonder if i was in the same position as them how much of my time would i voulenteer to others. and truly im not sure. but these women have shown me that in this world there exists a true and amazing human spirit that a few people posess. i hope that one day i can test myself against the kindness and utter devotion of these women to their children, and i pray that when i do i will not come up wanting. because to be honest these are the people that the world needs, people that are willing to risk all they have in the face of insurmountable odds and at the end of each day they go too sleep with a smile on their faces. i will remember this the next time i have a "bad day". i hope that i remember the message these women gave to me and that my stuff isnt that bad.

been slackin

hey everyone... i suppose i have been slacking off recently on my blog.... deal with it... iv been busy... but in a lighter note i would like everyone to know that im still alive and well... after staging we went to fort collins ... it was all kinds of fun... then we went and preformed on post at fort carson in colorado springs... after that it was an overnighter in northplatt nebraska and a week in vermillion and then back to north platt.... now after 11 hours on a bus we arrived in minnianapolis... forgive my spelling and im lovin minnisota... despite its eternal state of nothingness..... it kinda reminds me of home in that way... but ya... still havin fun...

the new semester

hey everyone the new cast is great... we marched in a martin luther king jr day marade and had some good times on a scavenger hunt... then we got to our first community impact day yesterday... i went around and surveyed the homeless... it was very eye opening and now i have noticed that i see alot more homeless here because im looking for them... ya... hope everythings allright at home... hope everyones having a good time hangin out...

UWP: The Return A 2010

after opsilya i had a 3 week slot to fill... but now im back for Cast A 2010 and im exited. we had the first day yesterday and it was pretty standard. everyone trickled in and we all hung out and met eachother then we had some pizza and got picked up by our host familys. my host family is great... they got three dogs, and there son ben was a technical assisstant when we were in europe last semester. so... all in all i should have a great time this semester.
